Build & Maintain Killer Robots For Fun & Profit

A musical set in the 1950’s workshop of Dr. Frank Brauthaus. Communists have stolen his Fate Control machine and the only way for America to survive is for a civilian-based killer robot army.

Incorporating Jorge Luis Borges' "The Lottery in Babylon", Build & Maintain Killer Robots for Fun & Profit is a satirical play contrasting the political climate of George W. Bush with the McCarthy hearings. The premise:

"Mad scientist falls in love with girl. Mad scientist builds Fate Machine. Girl falls in love with mad scientist. Communists steal Fate Machine."

Dr. Frank Brathaus tells America the only way to survive impending Communist attack is for each family to build their own giant killer robot. As you can expect, chaos and hilarity ensue.
